Cindy Lewis

Owner

In October 2001, Cindy Lewis kept the promise she made to her grandfather to provide a service to the elderly so they could remain in the privacy of their own home instead of moving to a retirement or nursing facility. As she began her journey to open a small home care agency, she discovered the Comfort Keeper franchise. She knew that this was her calling, and pursued her dream.  What started as a home-based business with 5 caregivers has now blossomed into an entire central office building, and a branch office in Carlsbad, staffed with a large number of caregivers and office staff. In the past few years, Comfort Keepers has placed a role in providing employment opportunities to a predominantly female labor force. An important factor to maintaining a happy workforce is through the kind and caring support Cindy provides. She has an open-door policy for all employees as well as clients. If you need to talk, she listens. She is funny, friendly, supportive, and rewards employees for going the extra mile.  Cindy’s efforts and her lifelong experience with running a business has resulted in office #240 becoming the #1 franchise office with the Comfort Keepers system, and has been given the Comfort Keepers President’s Award for Compliance and Service for numerous consecutive years. She has also earned the Franchise Owner of the Year Award in New Mexico, and the IFA’s prestigious Franchisee of the Year Award. Cindy has not only succeeded in making her dream come true, but has been an answer to the prayers of clients and their families and has been able to keep a loving promise made many years ago.

Vicky Eaton

Operations Manager

Vicky started her career as a Registrar at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in 1993.  She advanced her way through various positions in the Business Office ranging from Billing to Collections, and then became a Patient Account Manager in 2001.  In this position, Vicky was responsible for all aspects of the front-end daily operations for patient care.

Vicky spent 21 years in a hospital setting, which taught her the importance of customer service. After a successful career as Patient Account Manager, Vicky now coaches, teaches and manages other people on career tracks similar to her own.

Vicky’s varied background in a hospital setting with patient interaction has provided the perfect foundation for her role as Operations Manager at Comfort Keepers.  Vicky’s main functions are to ensure that Policy and Procedures are in place and being practiced on a daily basis.  She coordinates all daily functions/activities of both offices, Roswell and Carlsbad. She initiates process improvements and streamlines processes.  She identifies problem areas and implements solutions.  

Passionate about helping others, Vicky helps provide multiple services that help not only senior citizens, but also disabled persons and veterans to insure a better quality of life.  Vicky feels that helping her clients stay in their own home truly does make a difference in their quality of life. Vicky feels that putting a smile on her client’s faces is the biggest reward of all.

Cindi Lucero

Sales & Marketing Manager

Drawing on her many years of experience in broadcasting and cable sales and marketing, Cindi brings to Comfort Keepers a wealth of knowledge in sales, along with skills in training, marketing, and business management.

Her focus is spreading the word about the spectacular training our caregivers receive prior to caring for clients, thus allowing clients to receive the help they need to stay in their homes. She started an innovative approach to guiding the sales and marketing team to result orientated processes to improve quality of care for clients.

Passionate about helping elderly with their desire to stay home, Cindi provides alternatives and explores possibilities with current and prospective clients alike.

Marina Lopez

Accounting Clerk

Marina Lopez is the Accounting Clerk with Comfort Keepers. Marina looks after all aspects of accounting, including payables, receivables and billing.

Marina has had more than 20 years of experience in Home Health and In-Home Care settings, and she has been with Comfort Keepers for 10 of those years.

Stacie Carroll

Client Care Coordinator

Stacie Carroll is a Client Care Coordinator with Comfort Keepers. In this role, Stacie coordinates and plays a lead role in providing excellent care to clients in their homes. She accomplishes this by assessing individual needs and matching those needs with the Comfort Keeper Caregiver best suited to fulfill their needs. Being a big believer showing care with respect and compassion, Stacie assists clients in keeping their independence and staying in their own home.

Stacie worked in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse field for over 20 years prior to coming to Comfort Keepers, specializing in Hospice, Senior Care and Alzheimer Care for the past 9 years. She is passionate about providing the same quality of care to each person as if they were her own parent or grandparent.

Stacie is an active volunteer in the community and is currently working with the Chaves County Health Council, Continuity of Care, Chaves County Cancer Fund, and the Old Timers Balloon Rally Committee. When home, she loves to go hunting and fishing with her family.

Laurie Fladd

Program Coordinator

Laurie Fladd is a Program Coordinator with Comfort Keepers. Laurie maintains relationships with Care Coordinators with contracted Managed Care Organizations to ensure their members are receiving their approved services. Laurie also verifies eligibility and makes sure that everyone has a valid authorization in place.

Laurie has worked in medical office settings in similar roles for over 17 years, and has been with Comfort Keepers for just over 2 years.

Isela Avalos

Home Visit Coordinator

Isela Avalos is the Home Visit Coordinator with Comfort Keepers. Isela visits clients in the comfort of their home. She looks after client’s needs, and ensures caregivers are providing the quality of service detailed by their individual service plan instructed by their insurance company. Isela speaks both English and Spanish fluently, which helps her connect deeply with more people.

Isela is a former caregiver with Comfort Keepers, and was in that role for 4 years prior becoming the Home Visit Coordinator. Experience as a caregiver taught her the importance of addressing clients’ needs. She does excellent, hands-on job training with caregivers out in the field, ensuring the Comfort Keepers goal of the highest quality of life possible.

Beatriz Rodriguez

Administrative Assistant

Beatriz grew up in Dexter, NM, and later moved to Wisconsin, where she lived for nearly 20 years. While in Wisconsin, Beatriz actively volunteered in the Hispanic community, and also served with Habitat for Humanity.

Beatriz attended Madison College in Madison, Wisconsin to pursue a career in Human Services and Human Services in Management with an emphasis in Banking to supplement a management position in the financial field. She moved back to Roswell in September 2011 to be with family.

Beatriz continued her career in the financial field with Pioneer Bank Corporate Office. She later changed her career to Human Services with an emphasis in Health. She worked with the Chaves County La Casa Family Health Clinics as Practice Manager for their clinics in Hondo and Roswell, and ENMU-R Student Health Services. She attended ENMU-R for Medical Billing and Coding. After finishing the program, she joined Comfort Keepers, which she describes as a true blessing, as she has the opportunity to work with dedicated caregivers that care about the wellbeing of the community.

Deanna Renteria

HR Assistant

Passionate about our staff and their possibilities, Deanna provides assistance to our Human Resource Manager to ensure our clients are getting the best caregivers available in the cities we serve. In this role, Deanna is responsible for ensuring all of our caregivers are up to date on training and certifications.
